Barbara is the youngest of three daughters to a U.S. Army Ranger and his wife. Although her father was no longer on active duty when Barbara was born, her sense of pride in our military stems from her deep pride in her father’s service. Putting that pride into action, Barbara followed in her father’s footsteps by attending Norwich University Military College of Vermont.
Shortly after college, Barbara was a member of the international cast of Up With People, an American education organization whose mission is to bridge cultural barriers and create global understanding through service and a musical show. As a cast member, Barbara travelled throughout the United States, Canada, and Northern Europe with other cast members who represented 26 different countries.
Barbara and her husband Larry have co-owned and operated Sage Appraisals, Inc., a real estate, business, machinery, and equipment appraisal firm for over 22 years. During that tenure, Barbara has been named Business Woman of the Year by the ABWA New Hampshire Charter Chapter, among other honors.
In the free time she can find, Barbara enjoys running, biking, swimming, triathlons and reading. Her greatest joy, however, is spending time with her husband and identical twin daughters.
